Monthy Prayer Focus ::

NOVEMBER

Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt, . . . you can say to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done. If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.” - Matthew 21:21-22

YOURSELF:

Plead with the Lord that you would not be deceived by the lies spoken and manipulation in our culture - especially during the election season and its aftermath, as well as during this financial crisis in our nation.

(Ephesians 5:6-17, 6:10-12; Luke 12:2)

LEADERS - (church and BNG leaders):

Pray that God would give them courage to make difficult choices and changes, and that they would focus on Christ and depend on nothing/no one else. (Matthew 9:16-17, Colossians 3:1-4)

CHURCH:

Pray for the many new ministries:

  1. restarting Celebrate Recovery
  2. prison transitional ministry
  3. possibility of a medical missions ministry
  4. Welcome Central - find ways to express God’s love to new people and get them connected
  5. Food pantry, clothing pantry - expanded and reorganized

CONGREGATION:

Please pray that everyone will find a way to use their gifts for the common good. (Romans 12, 1 Corinthians 12)

COMMUNITY:

  1. Pray for those newly elected that they would fulfill their duties with integrity, justice, and wisdom. (Psalm 47:7-9, Proverbs 28:12)
  2. Pray for a reordering of our nation’s economy, based on biblical principles. Pray also for repentance for the economic sins of our nation. (Luke 16:10-15)
  3. Pray for persecuted Christians around the world.(Sun., Nov. 9 is the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church)

BNG WORKERS/OFFICIALS:

  1. Pray that the supervisors of subcontractors would fulfill their responsibilities on time and with quality work.
  2. Pray that we would finish Phase I strong - financially and with volunteers, and that the buildings would be filled with the ministries God has called us to do. (Galatians 6:9-10)
