Specific needs addressed by the building plan include:

- A larger gathering space for special occasions and celebrations, including an outdoor hospitality courtyard.
- Expanded rehearsal, storage, office and training rooms to enhance our worship ministries and to augment the Fine Arts Ministry.
- Restructured administrative facilities providing improved support to volunteers and pastoral staff.
- An additional 40,000 square feet of usable space.
“Breaking New Ground” characterizes the spirit and intention of FBCS. Everyone will have an opportunity to use his or her gifts to cultivate an environment where God’s vision can grow. Every household in our church will be asked to make a sacrificial commitment above and beyond our regular financial support over a period of three years. No one will be told what he or she should give. No one will be pressured or coerced. We will all be asked to embrace the will of God in our lives as it relates to this program.
- This special giving allows us to continue funding our current ministries.
- We can be faithful stewards by keeping long-term borrowing interest at a minimum.
Prayer will be the sustenance of this new endeavor. We will ask God to direct the degree of our sacrifice. As we work this ground, our prayer is to:
- Lift up the ministry of our church.
- Foster an atmosphere that allows each of us to seek God’s will for our life.
- Support the leadership of our church as they guide us through this process.
This is our ground, our time, our assignment from God
It is with joy that we ask you to accept God’s challenge of “Breaking New Ground.”
